Question on converting AVI's to GIFS
There is a video of Aaron Crow in the AFL on Youtube and I was trying to get it so Kyle can analysis it. Kyle requests that it is a GIF and I understand why. I found that the site Vixy.net will convert Youtube videos to avi's. Now does anyone know of a good and cheep ($10 or less) program for the conversion. It would need to be able to cut the AVI to only the desired length. Thanks for your help.

I assume you mean the projectprospect video. Whoever shot that needs to invest in a tripod.
Just google “convert+avi+to+gif” and you get about thirty results. Some of them are free but even the ones you have to pay for usually have a free trial. Find one that works for your OS and go for it.

I use Ulead GIF Animator.
Unfortunately, it’s not freeware.

That said...
Send me the GIF and I’ll convert it for you. It’s painless.

Got it to work
1. Download “Download helper” for firefox.
2. Goto youtube and find video. I am having problem with videos over a minute in the second program so keep them under a minute.
3. Use Download and convert with the following settings: Only settings clicked are on the General Tab. Ouput video is “AVI format” and “Video codec” is raw video.
4. Download microsoft animator as described in the above wiki
5 Open the file in the animator and select images needed.
