Ron Wolford's The Athletic Pitcher
What are the opinion's on this guy and his program? I've read some of his stuff on the Athletic Pitcher from a friend who has used the program. It's worked for them. Good? Bad?

Wolforth's Combat Pitcher
I’ve seen a lot of decent reviews about the stuff, and he’s certainly open-minded to a lot of options (he invited Dr. Marshall to speak at one of his bootcamps). However, he partners with Paul Nyman and SETPRO – someone I disagree with very much.
That said, I’m sure it’s a better training program than anything else out there. I just don’t like one-stop shopping programs for individualized athletes. I’ll never sell one myself.

Nyman and SETPRO
What does Nyman teach? Also, what is SETPRO?
You say it’s probably a better program than anything out there…. what makes it better? And what is the one-stop method he uses on everyone?

SETPRO/Nyman
SETPRO (formerly available online at setpro.com) is Paul Nyman’s baseball coaching/training site. He is the inventor of “PCR” (Posture-Connection-Rotation) batting mechanics and also created all the rage when it came to “scapular loading.” He also coined the term “Inverted W” to describe the elbow creeping above the shoulder line in hyperabduction.
Nyman has many reports of people purchasing things from his site and him never delivering or refunding the money. A Google search will tell you all you need to know about those claims.
Ron Wolforth strikes me as the kind of guy who is very open-minded and doesn’t claim to know all the answers (or even all the questions). That’s why I would be inclined to trust him over other gurus.
Anyone who sells a program to the masses is typically advocating a comprehensive program for all athletes – i.e., throw these weighted balls at these intervals, lift these weights, throw these bullpens on these days, etc. Personally, I don’t think it’s very useful and can be unsafe or ineffective for many people. There’s a lot of individualized work that needs to be done with each client.

Thanks for the thoughts
I’ve gotten the chance to look through the core/explosion part of their workouts. I haven’t gotten to watch any DVDs or videos of any of it.
