Help for University Capstone Project
Hey everyone...I'm working on a pitching mechanics-related project at Northeastern University in Boston. I'm mostly just trying to find out how to find information. For example, I'm trying to find the league-wide average number of days teams lose to pitchers on the DL with elbow injuries. I haven't really been able to find that information on B-Ref, unless I'm missing something, but I'm pretty sure that information exists.
Anybody have any ideas?

Check out Beyond the Boxscore.
Jeff Zimmerman did a great post on DL days and time missed.
He can get 4, NOT 5.

I'd try this too
http://www.fantasypitchfx.com/DL/injury-tool.php
to the best of my knowledge it won’t provide you with a comprehensive list or sum of total time lost, but you can examine individual injury histories
i know it’s not EXACTLY what you’re looking for, but it might be a helpful reference

Thanks a lot guys
Jeff, I’ve shot you an email. The DL injury tool is helpful also, as I plan to make a couple individual references as case study examples of league-wide trends.

When you're done, please share.
I’m sure a lot of us would enjoy it.

Indeed
The project is due for review in December, after which I expect patent applications and all that crap will be going on. Y’all will be hearing about it first.
