It's been a quiet 4th of July here at Driveline, so I thought I would give you guys something to think about:
- Ryan Howard, in his career, has struck out 786 times in 2374 plate appearances. That is a 33% K rate.
- Albert Pujols, in 807 plate appearances when the count has reached 0-2, has struck out 191. That is a 24% K rate.
Ryan Howard is nearly 33% percent more likely to strike out given a 0-0 count than Pujols given an 0-2 count.
