What team will be smart enough to claim him off of waivers? Better yet: which teams will be dumb enough not to?

I have a hard time seeing how, between his hitting and defense, he isn't at least a league average player, but what do I know compared to the geniuses who have willingly run players like Jeff Francoeur, Josh Anderson, Garrett Anderson, and Jose Guillen out there every day?

It’d be nice for Detroit to dump Josh Anderson earlier this year and then pick up Murton to try to off-set the bad trade for Aubrey Huff.

Matt Murton would be a great pickup for the Mets right now.

This is a team that has been decimated with injuries and everyone has saying how we need more depth. Well here are the Rockies handing Omar Minaya a nice player at little cost. It’s a no brainer, so have no fear, the Mets won’t do it, we’re good with Angel Pagan and Jeff Francouer. Anybody in NY knows how much the media here loves that Francouer trade, he’s batting .310! (OBP- .337… that makes me sad.)

I'm not sure ...

The Royals? Although they have money tied up out there (Coco and Bloomquist) that can’t be moved.

Despite their poor records teams like the Nats, Pirates and Pads all have decent OF’ers that are as good or better than Murton.

He’ll find a place, but I can’t see where it will be as an everyday player (which he deserves another shot at).

Coco isn't guaranteed...

I believe its a mutual 8million option for next year.
